Our Family Journal

We’ve now reached the four week mark. Still illness and fevers. We rested all last week in hopes of getting over this. The girls fevers persisted (and Elizabeth’s still does, just as before - we’ll be chatting with the doctor at her 4-year well child check tomorrow AM). But Emily took a nosedive on Sunday and by midnight had a fever well over 104, aches that prevented her from sleeping (me too!), and we spent most of Monday getting a diagnosis. She’s got pneumonia poor thing - and in my opinion, a pretty nasty case of it. So yesterday, Matthew went back to school (delayed opening b/c of ice - we just like spending time together!) and Emily’s home. She’s feeling better (praise God for antibiotics, though we think they’re masking how sick she still is) and rest and fluids are the family’s prescription for the forseeable future.
