Mrs. Robin’s New Home
Day before yesterday, Mrs. Robin decided our front porch - right above the door on the sill there - is a great place to build her nest. We are excited for this “close up view” of our feathered friend but hope that we don’t terrorize her with our noisy comings and goings and playing outside. Meanwhile, there’s a pile of straw in front of the door on the porch that we need to go clean up!

Let us know when you find eggs in it. Bird’s nest have always been a facination with dad. Who taught them how to do that? It is a glorious thing. Glad to see something in the journal. Was beginning to wonder about you. Haven’t heard anything in a while. Hope you have been out enjoying spring. mom

Hello
The House Finches have been flying into my kitchen window all month, trying to alert me to their missing wreath. The inner hole diameter of Gini’s now discarded wreath, was smaller than that of my new wreath. They do not like it! They tried a few strands of mesh and went in to the Arborvities along the house’s West side. Our porch is cleaner:-)
Enjoy the eggs soon to come.

This comment refers to your April 10th “SongBird” article and
your family’s telephone rendition of Happy Birthday on 4/26. All began on excellent pitch with parental help. Amazingly, the childrens finish was still PERFECTLY ON PITCH, as have been all of Elizabeth’s songs. Like WOW!!
