Pantry musings
There is much I’d like to write but little time to actually sit and focus on writing. We’re not sure where the past six weeks have gone. As a family today we worked on a project in the basement (I mostly watched while Steve and the older two worked) regarding a new food storage arrangement – a real “gift” to me of much better pantry space . . . In the process there was discussion about the abundance of boxes of Fruity Cheerios, tubs of Country Time Lemonade and cans of Spaghettios we have (among other things). It’s funny how the very abundance of these particular items speaks to the kind of summer we have had and/or our expectations for the fall. For example, we found a great sale on lemonade early in the summer and stocked up in preparation for cooling off with frozen lemonades and having lemonade stands but then it rained for the next six weeks seemingly non-stop…. That said, if life throws us any more lemons, we sure are ready for making lemonade!
