Comments

I guess I’m leaving you all a comment about comments. We’ve been getting a lot of “spam” type comments lately so I went to the effort of “closing” or “turning off” comments on a number of our older entries, but even some in June kept getting “attacked” so I did a number of them too. If you want to leave a comment on an entry that is “closed” feel free to email us directly or post it on another one and we can move it or add it or whatever (though you probably don’t care that much if it gets posted!)

We do appreciate you who read our site and keep up with us and your comments are ALWAYS welcome (it’s automated programs that do this “commenting” - they’re not personal and always have links to sites we don’t wish to go to).

A short comment on how we are (besides “quiet” on the site . . . ). It’s been a busy summer, and we’ve tried to have some home time these past few weeks and deal with the chaos and clutter that inevitably comes with two weeks of swim lessons and visitors and birthdays and anniversaries (we’ve had a bit going on :-) July and December are our busy “holiday” months!). Steve and I have gone to Barnes and Noble several times, we’ve gone swimming, finally cleaned up the train table (it’s been a mess since December!) and Jonathan is mobile (crawling, pulling up, beginning to climb; everything goes into his mouth and he’s into whatever he can reach, which includes more and more as he is kneeling and reaching and occasionally climbing, standing . . . boy oh boy oh boy! ) He’s also had several ear infections. It appears that Matthew has asthma as well as Emily. And I’ve been tested for glaucoma (mostly to get a baseline for future comparison - I don’t have it, but I have things that make me particularly susceptible so it’s something they’ll be watching closely the rest of my life!). Elizabeth is starting (a little here and there) to potty train. Very exciting. We’re halfway through the summer and looking forward to some trips to visit family in August. And I can finally tell you all that NO ONE IS COUGHING! Yay yippee do a very happy bouncy dance! I think we’ve been cough free for a week, maybe two. It’s so good.
