3 weeks already
Yes, we’re still sick. Someone in this house has had a fever every single one of the past 22 days. I think my voice is finally returning (slowly) and while tired, I had a bit more energy today. Emily had a fever well over 100 yesterday and just shy of 100 today all day. She was tired too. Several of us are coughing (we hear it lasts forever and we can vouch for it). But Elizabeth seemed to be improving - only a slight fever this morning and none this evening (yay!) and Jonathan’s cough isn’t quite as bad so maybe our vacation and rest are doing us some good. Emily’s spirits are high too and she’s enjoying “lazing around the house” and that’s a good thing. A whole week of vacation left too! Plus there are about 7″ of new snow to enjoy if we can only find enough energy to get out to play in it. Either way, it sure is pretty to look at. Steve’s birthday was fun (we all enjoyed that) and we got him a real inner tube sled from LL Bean to play with so hopefully we can put that to use this week once we figure out how to put the cover on and inflate it. But somehow I think Easter - four weeks away! - will not be “spring like” though we know how the weather changes around here and how volatile March can be.
